Wow! This helped a whole lot. Thank you for the detail on the help, as well. I knew the hooves looked strange, but could never figure out how to fix them until now.
When I was shading this picture I found it awfully hard to get the muscle shade lines proper which added to the odd bulky-ness. I honestly haven't drawn horses until I've recently started ridding again. Looking at the basic diagrams of this, I can see I need to pull out my books again. (Or go hang out at the pasture more and watch the horses.)
On the bright side I will have to upload a more recent picture that I have drawn of a horse, it has improved a tremendous amount then the picture that you have red lined. Though, now that I look at that I can see where the face needs work, as well. On all of my pictures.
